Warriors Never Die Wrap Up
Monday, November 16th, 2009This past Saturday, November 14th, the Busy Gamer Reckon Crew was on hand at the Warriors Never Die event to help raise money for the Adop-A-Pet foundation. The event was another success raising over 2000 dollars for the foundation and while it wasn’t as much as the prior year, event organizer Lance Hayes thanked all of the attendees and announced that the third Warriors Never Die event would take place on November 13th of 2010.
On hand for the benefit were several local bands which included Return to Cinder (Crutchboy’s band), The Loveletter (Timothy Danger’s band), The Cherrybombers, AR-15, Pop Rocks Ugly, and Slap Jesse. The very talented Cas Haley from the second season America’s Got Talent made an appearance and demonstrated why he was so popular on the reality show. He also left the Reckon Crew wondering why he didn’t win first place. Fickle people, obviously, very fickle.
We’d like to thank Lance for having us out to the event and recognize him for putting together such a well organized event and for managing to maintain his sanity while gathering the talent for the live music, putting together a fine selection for the silent auction, and having the good taste to have us there… Okay, so that last one isn’t as important but we’d still like to thank him for inviting us.
If you weren’t able to make it out, you missed out on some great entertainment for a very worthy charity. We may find it in our hearts to forgive you for not making it if you’ll just plan on attending the next one.
I mean, you only have one year to get ready for it so you’d better get cracking.
