The low down from www.rottentomatoes.com
"In this riotous new road movie from producer Kevin Spacey, a group of friends who are avid
Star Wars fans travel west to see the Holly Grail of all sci-fi movies, Star Wars: Episode I. The
year is 1999 and for these death star dorks, the Star Wars films are more than just movies;
they are a way of life. So, after one of the group takes sick it is nothing short of a moral
imperative that the friends break into George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch to watch the seminal
sci-fi picture together before its release. Enlisting the help of an estranged friend, who has
traded in his Darth Vader mask for a proper day job, the adventure lays way to some
extremely funny situations, including an outrageous brawl with some hard-core Trekkies."
ARE YOU FAN ENOUGH?
This summer movie 'Fanboys' puts it to the test
By Crutchboy
Ok, now this flick ought to bring out the geek in some,
definately will all of us here at BusyGamer.com.  A film
about some kids who adventure to the illustrious 'Skywalker
Ranch' and lift a copy of the new Star Wars movie? Damn
like we haven't all thought about an escapade like that. I
think my chances of running across a thigh bone of a t-rex in
my parking lot would be greater to say the least. This movie
sounds like a great idea and coming from producer Kevin
Spacey I can't wait to check it out. Some of the actors
fleshing this out are Kristen Bell (Heroes), Sam Huntington
(Superman Returns), Chris Marquette (The Girl Next Door)
and Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury) .
Fanboys has been in post production for awhile it seems with several release date push
backs, with April of 2008 being what we could find out here. And from what the Busy Gamer
Crew has heard, Star Wars creator George Lucas has officially given the movie his stamp of
approval and by it's poster art, I'm so nerdy that it has mine too already.
